For Internet connections, BSNL holds 55.76% of the market share with reported subscriber base of 9.19 million Internet subscribers with 7.79% of growth at the end of Mar 2010. BSNL offers a wide range of options for Internet such as Dial-up, Account Less Internet (CLI, Leased Line, Broadband, and DIAS, making it India’s No.1 Internet Service Provider. The present turnover of BSNL is more than Rs.351,820 M (US $ 8 billion) with net profit to the tune of Rs.99,390 M (US $ 2.26 billion) for 2009-2010 with telephone infrastructure asset alone worth about Rs.630,000M (US $ 14.37 billion), making it the No. 1 Telecom Company in India.
How To Recharge BSNL Mobile:
There are different ways to do a BSNL prepaid recharge. BSNL online recharge, free BSNL online recharge or by using BSNL online recharge cards.
- Using physical BSNL prepaid recharge card: This is a card containing a 16-digit secret code available in different denominations. One should scratch the hidden portion on the recharge card to expose the secret code, dial 123 to access the IVRS prompt menu, select option 2 to recharge and then enter the 16-digit code followed by “#”.
- Using the Banks ATM: Select the option to do a BSNL prepaid recharge, enter the mobile number, the desired recharge value and complete the transaction. You will receive a sms to confirm the recharge.
- Using online option: There is a facility for BSNL online recharge through BSNL site that allows subscribers to recharge their mobile connection online. It is also possible to do a free BSNL online recharge via portals of different Banks such as HDFC, Axis Bank, etc., as well as other sites such as Ezitop, Sulekha, One Stop recharge, Recharge it Now, etc. where payment can be made using credit card, payment gateways e.g. Paypal, etc.
The BSNL online recharge cards is the least preferred among all these options, as it is not as convenient as BSNL online recharge, free BSNL online recharge.
